It is no longer news that there's no love lost between the President General of Umueri General Assembly, Mr Johny Metchie and his executives following allegations of withdrawal of money from the Assembly's account without the notice or approval of other executives. 

In a letter sighted by our correspondent, dated 03-07-2023 and addressed to the Commissioner of local Government, Chieftaincy and Town Union affairs; the 9 man executives of Umueri General Assembly alleged among other things; autocratic leadership and withdrawal of several funds yet unexplained by the President General.

While the matter has thrown the once peaceful Umueri into crisis with various stakeholders seeking for peace and encouraging the both parties to sheath their sword, the kindred of Mr Johny Metchie, the President General of Umueri in a surprise move decided to take the matter to village shrines for adjudication. 

A trending SMS message sent to some of the executives reads: 

"Dear Timothy, Here is Igwe Ogugu umudiani Umueri, This is to Inform you  that Irunze Family Akwuete Nneyi Umueri reported you to OGUGU UMUDIANI Shrine, you are to report at OGUGU UMUDIANI on Sunday being 17th day of September 2023 for hearing. Time: 10 am. Regards,. Oukwu Egwuatu, IGWE OGUGU UMUDIANI UMUERI. IGWE NDI IGWE"

It must be noted however that local shrines are considered part of Traditional Worship and therefore has no powers or jurisdiction to summon or impose their will on none devotees

    I don't know how you verified this information but it will be of your benefit to pull it down and get the right information.

    You are warned. There is no issuw between Johnny Metchie and his executives rather few individuals that were sponsored by Sir Ben Emeka igwe autonomous in Umueri to cause crisis. Is better you say some members of executives.
